About me
My name's Henry.
I started this blog as a space to write down all of my thoughts on work, life, and how they interact. It's a place for me to catalog all of the things I learn about productivity, performance, health, and happiness.
I've been working in the marketing, PR and data analytics industry for years now, and one thing I've learned is that things never slow down. There is no such thing as hitting your stride. Yet the amount that you are able to achieve in a year increases year on year...if you work towards it that is.
I decided some time ago that I wanted to lead an incredibly productive life. I would read about people like Goethe, Sartre and Carl Jung and be staggered by what they were able to produce in their lives. I would then see vlogs by people like Gary Vaynerchuk and Casey Neistat and be blown away by how much of their day they dedicated to work. I eventually realized that what these people all had in common was their unbelievable work ethic, their understanding of productivity, and their hunger for success.
Since then I have sought to optimize every aspect of my life.
I am constantly in search of ways to fit more into an hour. I try to get a little bit more out of everything I do. I believe that a 1% improvement here and there will, over the years, have an enormous effect on what I am able to accomplish.
"It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much. ... The life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully."
- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
