This is a fantastic talk from Nassim Taleb; a man who doesn't really need an introduction from me.
He spends most of the talk discussing his concept of having "skin in the game". The basic idea is that you should always be penalized when things go wrong if you want to be rewarded when things go right. From a business standpoint, this roughly means that you should always be actively involved in a process, market, or decision if you want to profit from it. This concept ties in nicely with things like Jocko Willink's idea of 'extreme ownership', which is where you take ultimate responsibility for the failings of your team. The best part of the talk is the Q&A at the end. In particular, he talks about being wary of so called experts who have no skin in the game; namely professional academics. It's well worth listening to the entire talk, and it is certainly worth checking out his books.
